The number of Russian tourists, who have already visited Bulgarian ski resorts or will do it until the end of the winter season 2010/2011, have increased 17 percent in comparison to the data from season 2009/2010. The chairman of the institute for tourism analyses and evaluations Roumen Draganov said as quoted by profit.bg.

Bulgaria is expecting the major number of Russian tourists to come in ski vacation in February, Draganov said.

UK tourism market also registers increase. The number of UK tourists in Bulgaria is at the level of ski season 2007/2008, which was the best before the crisis. In comparison to winter season 2009/2011, the number of British tourists increases six percent.

Exactly UK tourists are the most numerous visitors in Bulgaria during winter season and the peak of their visits will be in March.

Currently, Bulgaria registers three percent increase in the winter tourism, but in February it may reach five percent.
